Role: Concept and Art Direction
Challenge: H&R Block's CEO was seeking a signature small business outreach
program that singularly emphasized his company's commitment to community
and to the businesses that support those communities.

Solution:  Share our office space with early stage entrepreneurs.

Many H&R Block offices, across the country, are underutilized outside of tax season. This valuable real estate is not living up to its potential. So H&R Block created an environment for enterprising early-stage entrepreneurs.

Square One (Sq1), by H&R Block, is not a co-working space, it’s a co-lab space.
We’re here to open doors that you previously didn’t know existed.

Sq1 provides:
  • Access to local advisory services through a Sq1 Concierge
  • Connections to local capital sources (loans, grants, potential investors)
  • Software, through Wave, for accounting, tax data, market research
    and legal compliance)
  • Office space and other operating resources fast wifi, access to web design services, e-commerce, hosting and of course free coffee.
During the tax
off-season, selected H&R Block offices
will be refit for Sq1
